I am sending this email for my neighbour who had a bay tree in a lovely ceramic pot stolen from her front porch on Thursday night, 5th January.

The thieves must have been more than one person, as it was a 30 year old tree and quite large with polished pebbles around the top.  We found a trail of  pebbles down the steps and across the road to where there must have been a waiting vehicle.

My neighbour is quite infirmed and very unwell and is naturally upset about this.  Unfortunately my husband and I did not hear anything and I expect with the high winds making such a noise no one else did either.

I am reporting this to you so you can warn other residents to make sure their shrubs etc. are secure.
