At the last borough elections in May, a new Conservative councillor, Keith Foreman, was elected for the Chipstead, Hooley, Netherne and Woodmansterne ward. On behalf of the residents of Chipstead, the CRA extends a warm welcome to Keith, and we all look forward to a close and productive relationship with Keith over the coming years. Keith has asked the CRA to publish the following message to all Chipstead residents:
It is an honour and a privilege to have been elected as a Borough Councillor. I look forward to working with my colleagues for the benefit of all who live in the area. We are all committed to putting the needs of those who we serve first.
In the months leading up to the election, I spoke to the majority of households in Chipstead, Woodmansterne, Hooley and Netherne. Many were happy with the efficient running of the Council. My initial impression confirms this. The officers are extremely efficient and could not have made myself and the other new councillors more welcome. I am also extremely impressed by the welcome I received from both my Conservative colleagues and those representing other political groups.
Local issues were mentioned including roads, traffic, public transport, planning and the protection of the Green Belt. All issues have been passed on. Where we can, we will act.
If you would like to contact me about anything, please feel free to email me at Cllr Foreman: <Cllr.Foreman@reigate-banstead.gov.uk.
I am genuinely excited to have the opportunity to represent you, and look forward to doing so.
