Simply Delicious closed until further notice due to the death of owner, Ed.
It is with great sadness that we report the passing away of Ed, owner of the 'Simply Delicious' sandwich shop and catering service based on Chipstead Station parade.
Ed was known well to many residents and his death is a sad shock to the local community and others further away who regularly visit whilst travelling through the village.
Our thoughts are with Ed's close friends and family. The shop is closed until further notice.

I knew Edd for many years my office was in the same street a true gentleman and all round nice person he will be sadly missed by all God bless you mate may you rest in peace

R.I.P ???? we tend to take life for granted… I spoke to Ed on the Friday… he seemed all good bought my sandwich…. This has been a extreme shock and a wake up call! My condolences to the family I really am lost for words!

Ed was a lovely man who always talked to me and treated me with kindness.
I work for Uber eats as a delivery driver and used to go to his shop to collect orders that people had placed online.
Every single time I went there I always saw a queue of people waiting to go in which speaks volumes.
Rest in peace Ed and my thoughts are with your family
It's always the good ones that go too soon.
